  • 4 LB Brisket 
  • 2 Large Onions Sliced into rings
  • 1 package of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbspn of dry or fresh thyme
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


Brown brisket on all sides. remove and let cool. In the same pan sauté onions and mushrooms until opaque. Add cup of wine to pick up all those delicious bits of yumminess from the pan about 2-3 mins. Add garlic, thyme and S&P. Turn Crockpot on, place meat on the bottom, pour wine sauce on top of meant and close lid. Cook on high 4 hours and low for 6-8 hours. Meat will literally fall apart with a fork. Absolutely delicious combination of the red meat, red wine and thyme. Such a super easy main dish and always a show stopper with the family and friends.

We Celebrate Hannukah. I love to use Blue & Silver to decorate! We have collected a few ornaments for the lst two years and put them up on our glittered branches around the Menorah! I also made some homemade Jelly Donut Holes and some Cannoli Cups. These were great gifts for the neighbors. We also made gifts with homemade cookie mix in mason jars with the recipe to prepare them attached. That way they could burn the cookies instead of me. :}
